在冶金、礦山及化工等企業(yè)應(yīng)用的螺旋輸送機(jī)，其軸端壓蓋廣泛采用填料密封。由于煤粉粒度為200目，呈細(xì)粉狀，并有一定的流動(dòng)性，因此常因輸送機(jī)的頭部軸端密封不嚴(yán)，泄漏許多煤粉。用過(guò)石棉盤根、油浸羊毛氈、油浸石棉繩及柔性石墨環(huán)等作為密封填料，但治漏效果均不理想。每天設(shè)備周圍都泄漏出煤粉，既浪費(fèi)，又污染環(huán)境，影響文明生產(chǎn)。
在輸送機(jī)上作試驗(yàn)，即在頭部填料壓蓋的法蘭外圈上鉆通孔、攻絲、加裝油嘴，在壓蓋孔壁內(nèi)加工兩條油槽與油嘴孔連通。用黃油槍從油嘴處壓入潤(rùn)滑脂，并使之進(jìn)入油槽，填滿旋轉(zhuǎn)軸表面與壓蓋內(nèi)孔間的配合間隙，原有的石棉盤根保持不變，這種結(jié)構(gòu)使煤粉經(jīng)過(guò)多次密封，達(dá)到了良好的密封效果。經(jīng)現(xiàn)場(chǎng)試驗(yàn)，加裝油嘴的輸送機(jī)明顯的優(yōu)于未改造的。
通過(guò)實(shí)踐證明，這種方法是行之有效的，可延長(zhǎng)螺旋軸使用壽命。但尚需注意以下兩點(diǎn)：
1.壓蓋內(nèi)必須每3—4天加注一次潤(rùn)滑油脂，否則油脂消耗完或者干涸仍會(huì)泄漏煤粉。
2.在每次裝拆后，開機(jī)運(yùn)行一個(gè)月左右需擰緊壓蓋螺檢，使盤根與軸緊密貼合。但不必壓得過(guò)緊，以后可根據(jù)實(shí)際情況調(diào)正壓蓋螺栓。

Proved by practice, this method is effective, can prolong the service life of the spiral shaft. But still need to pay attention to the following two points:
1 gland must be every 3 to 4 days with a lubricating oil or grease, consumed or dry pulverized coal will still leak.
2 at the end of each assembly and disassembly, start to run a month need to tighten gland bolt, so that the packing and the shaft tightly. But need not be pressed too tight, then according to the actual situation of adjusting cap bolt.
